A Sneak Preview of ThinkFold
This is *really* exciting.
I've been working on a project for a year now and I can finally start to show it off!
It's a brand new web application called ThinkFold.
ThinkFold is an online, collaborative outliner.
If you've not outlined before, outlining is a great technique to help organise your thoughts, plan by breaking tasks and to-dos into sub-tasks and bring structure to pretty much anything.
It's about to launch into private beta and I'm incredibly pleased with it!
This screenshot shows Guy and I outlining some ideas on ThinkFold's pricing structure - we were on the phone at the time and couldn't agree on the 'individual' tariffs - but that's a whole other blog post ;-)
I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on the idea and I'll keep releasing more previews as we move into private beta.

I think the interface is awesome! The idea is also one which I'm sure many would use as I've seen quite a few collaborative sites springing up recently. I suppose the biggest question is, what is it that separates this product from all the others? Being the "new guy in town" isn't always easy.

Very good question!
Why ThinkFold is different to every other collaborative app out there:
1. ThinkFold is an outliner, so much more than free-form documents or to do lists: There's a great post here by Guy explaining this in more detail: http://www.thinkfold.com/blog/background/a-rich-history-of-outlining/
2. We do collaboration better. Much better. Normal online collaboration wasn't suitable really, we wanted a feeling of being next to the person you're outlining with. We spent a long time planning how collaboration should work.

Hallo!
I write and have a leaning towards IT.
Part of a new book project is creating an end user personal knowledge management platform for which your new outliner could be useful.
I'm very interested,
Regards, Patrick Forkin.
